I've always been wondering why Jerry didn't want people to tape his (JGB) shows, (when the GD were THE taper friendly band) - does anybody know? Or any thoughts?

I always assumed it was out of respect to the other musicians on stage with him. With the Grateful Dead, all the band members were generally OK with the taping thing. But with the JGB, the other memebers of the band may not have had the same outlook.

Just my two cents... not based on anything but my opinion...
